Organized, edited and wrote the final version of the strategic plan for the Program Manager of the Information Sharing Environment in the Office of the National Director of Intelligence

Designed and facilitated a national summit meeting of states to discuss plans and requirements to assist states in creating state-based information sharing environments

  • Assisted in designing, coordinating and facilitating a national summit on security and privacy issues related to the implementation of the National Wireless Broadband Communications System (FirstNet).
  • Participated in the development of a strategic plan for the Chief Information Officer of the U.S. Department of Justice.
  • Designed and helped establish the National Crime Statistics Exchange program under the Bureau of Justice Statistics.
  • Facilitated the work of the national Crime Indicators Working Group under the Bureau of Justice Statistics; writing the final report for the group.
  • Served on the Crime Data Modernization Panel of the National Academies of Science and contributed sections of the report.
  • Wrote a research paper and testified before Congress on the progress of criminal justice statistics since the President’s Crime Commission of 1969.
  • Served on the technical assistance national team in support of the National Criminal Statistics Exchange project, evaluating police readiness to adopt the National Incident Based Reporting System.
  • Designed and implemented a governance process for the creation of the California Cancer Modernization Collaborative.
  • Developed a strategic plan for the modernization of cancer data reporting in California.
  • Wrote the highly recognized Opioid Use Disorder Prevention Playbook for the Stewards of Change Institute and the National Interoperability Collaborative.
  • Facilitated a series of National convenings to determine requirements for the development of standards in the operation of Home Visiting Programs funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; drafted the strategic plan for development and implementation of national standards for information exchange.
  • Developed a cost model for the Nashville District Attorney to estimate the resource impact to the criminal justice system of the police initiative to deploy body worn cameras.
  • Served on the Advisory Committee for the National Juvenile Justice Data modernization project.
  • Conducted a study on the methods for securing and protecting digital evidence particularly from body worn cameras.
  • Served on the Advisory committee for the National Interoperability Collaborative.
  • Principle author on an article published on the future directions of central cancer registries.
  • Served as the strategic planner for the California Parkinson’s Disease Registry.
  • Designed a series of focus groups to gather subject matter expertise on ways to improve Parkinson’s data reporting
  • Primary author of an article about Building a Parkinson’s Disease Registry
  • Facilitated a national summit on data components for Parkinson’s registries.
  • Participated in an international think tank regarding ethical uses of artificial intelligence
