Mike Phillips is a resident of Colombia and has championed civil rights, healthcare, public safety and social services internationally. Mike has received national recognition for his initiatives to close the digital divide for underserved minorities and tribal nations. Mike will coordinate with Colombian Law Enforcement to provide intelligence on where drug and mining operations are poisoning the water supply. Mike is active in International standards organizations for data sharing.
As an independent consultant, he has successfully served many notable clients such as HPMG, Deloitte Touche, Dean Witter, General Motors Acceptance Corporation, The Department of Defense, CIBER, the State of Florida, State of Missouri, State of Tennessee, State of Nebraska, Department of defense, and numerous other public and private clients.
Mr. Phillips is the founder of the Chicago Chapter of the Data Administration Management Association and was on the founding board of DAMA International.
Mr. Phillips has a long history of community involvement and activism. His efforts have resulted in notable recognition to include the Achievement Award from the National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education (NAFEO) for “keeping the doors of opportunity open in the new millennium” (congratulated in Washington D.C by President Bill Clinton) and the Significant Act Award from the Department of the Army. Mr. Phillips often speaks at conferences and industry forums on the challenges and innovations affecting established and emerging enterprise’s ability to succeed within the turmoil of today’s business climate.
